1. What year did you join SDMO?
I am not sure what year I joined the orchestra. My guess it was the mid 1990’s.
2. Why? I played the bass for an accordion group at the time and had been invited by a member of the SDMO to attend a practice session.
3. Why did you stay? I loved the mandolin sound, the music they played and the social interaction. So I stayed. Jim loved it because I was the only bass player he had at the time. I stayed for all the above reasons and because over time, Jim has challenged us to play more complex music. It’s a great group of people. I cannot imagine leaving. To do so would leave a big hole in my life.
