1. What year did you join SDMO?
I joined the SDMO circa 1991.
2. Why? When I listened to them playing at Balboa Park.
3. Why did you stay? On my eighth birthday in 1938. My dad, a guitar player, bought me my first mandolin. I still play it today with the SDMO and will continue as long as I can. With my fingers cramping up, it makes it more difficult. I have played in Europe, Canada, and all through South America with many different culture groups … Also in the U S of A I’ve played with jazz groups, weddings, Funerals, and numerous private gatherings.
